Our Naracoorte Christmas weaner sale on the 7th of December was again a great success. We sold 562 steers and 340 heifers, producing the top price steers and heifers in dollars a head over the sale.
We produced the heaviest weaners we have ever had with our top pen of steers averaging 450kg and our top pen of heifers averaging 378kg.
A phenomenal result for 8-10mth old weaners. Steers topped at $3.15 for $1415 and averaged $1158 with the top pens heading direct to a feedlot. Heifers topped at $3.10 at $1041 and averaged $927.
